Pooja Makhijani has written for the New York Times, Village Voice, Newark Star-Ledger, and Time Out New York, among other publications, and her essays have appeared in magazines and anthologies including Women Who Eat. Makhijani is currently an M.F.A. student at Sarah Lawrence College. She lives in New Jersey.
