Yom is associate professor of political science at Temple University. He specializes in the history and development of authoritarian states in the Middle East, as well as contemporary issues of American foreign policy and democratic reform in the Arab world. He is the author of From Resilience to Revolution: How Foreign Interventions Destabilize the Middle East.
