Terres, former editor of Audubon Magazine and winner of the John Burroughs Medal for distinguished nature writing, is the author and editor of more than fifty books, including the Audubon Society’s Encyclopedia of North American Birds. He has spent a lifetime feeding and attracting wild birds at home.
